Motion Typography Prize
Winner of the Motion Typography Prize 2022
We are glad to announce that the winner of the Motion Typography Prize 2022 is Behnam Hanafi. The winner will receive the competition certification and the prize at the address that they have submitted at the time of registeration to the competition.
Thank you so much to everyone who submitted their works to the Motion Typography Prize 2022. We have received more than fifty works from twenty four artists, animators and designers. Selected works will be showcased at the Video Database section of the Animation Typography/Calligraphy website. We are very glad to see an increase of interest in the exploration of animated typography in the Persian alphabet, in recent years. We belive in the proto-animatedness of the art of Persian calligraphy and typography and hope to see more artists, animators and designers explore the possibilities of the animated form to bring Persian typography/calligraphy to life. Stay tuned and come back for future competitions!
Terms and Conditions
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting your videos to the Motion Typography Prize (competition), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the following terms. We (AnimatedCalligraphy.com/AnimatedTypography.com) reserve the right to update these Terms at any time without notice.
Submission and Acceptance of Videos or Films
The Organizer does not charge for registration and for qualifying the videos/films for the competition.
The videos/films submitted and possibly qualified for the competition are made available to the Organizer free of charge.
Videos/films should be submitted to the competition electronically via the online submission form.
The selection of videos/films for the competition shall be made by the Selection Committee appointed by the Organizer.
The Organizer reserves the right to include in the competition videos/films that are not the subject of the Selection Committee's work.
The Entity Submitting the video(s)/film(s) for the competition undertakes not to withdraw the video(s)/film(s) from the competition after 7 days from submitting to the competition.
Withdrawing a video/film from the competition and from screening on the website is possible only during the first 7 days after submitting the video/film to the competition.

Awards
The videos/films qualified for the competition will be judged by the Jury appointed by the organizer.
The laureate of financial prize is obliged to send the Organizer the data required by him/her to hand over the prize, within 30 days from the date of receipt of information about the prize. Otherwise, the Organizer has the right to withdraw from sending the prize.
The following prizes will be awarded among the videos/films selected for the competition: Best Motion/Animated Typography.
The prize for the best Motion/Animated Typography is an Oculus VR headset.
The organizer reserves the right to change the above prize without prior notice.
Screenings
Taking part in the competition means that the Entity submitting a video/film grants a free, non-exclusive, territorially unlimited license for the Organizer to use the video/film by public and private screening of the film.
Taking part in the competition means that the Entity submitting a video/film grants a free, non-exclusive, territorially unlimited license for the Organizer to make the video/film available for public viewing on the Animated Calligaphy and Typography online Databse.
The Entity Submitting a video/film grants the Organizer a non-exclusive, free, unlimited in time or territory license to use the promotional materials provided (video/film description, video/film frames, information on creators, etc.) for publications (prints, website, social media, press releases, etc.) and for the promotion of the website, ACT database, and the competition in the media.
The Submitting Entity grants the Organizer a non-exclusive, free, unlimited in time or territory license to use fragments of film arbitrarily chosen by the Organizer in all promotional activities related to the website, ACT database, and the competition (print, website, social media, press materials, Internet, media: radio, television, cinema, etc.).
Organizing Provisions
The Organizer reserves the right to change the dates and duration of the competition without stating the reason and prior notice.
Submitting a video/film to participate in the competition is equivalent to accepting the rules of these Terms and Conditions.
In all matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions, the Organizer (the ACTD management) decides.
In the event of disputes arising herefrom, the applicable law is Norwegian law and the cases will be heard by a common court in Oslo.
The Organizer has the right to change these Terms and Conditions partially or fully without prior notice.

Acceptance of the above-mentioned regulations entails the consent to the processing of personal data provided in the application form in order to participate in the competition of the Motion Typography Prize.
Provisions Concerning Processing of Personal Data
Your personal data will be processed for the purposes of: a) participation in the competition, b) displaying your video(s)/film(s) online (on the ACT Database or the website's communication channels e.g. Vimeo, YouTube, etc.).
The recipients of your personal data, in addition to the data administrator, will be only entities authorised to obtain personal data on the basis of the provisions of law.
Your personal data will be stored until you withdraw your consent to their processing. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing which had been carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
You have the right to correct your data and ask for its removal from the website. In this case you need to contact the orginizer on info@animatedcalligraphy.com.
Providing personal data by you is voluntary, however, it is also a condition of participation in the competition. In case of failure to provide the personal data, participation in the competition will be impossible.
